Ever since he woke up in a terrorist torture chamber-with a year of his life erased from his mind-Charlie West has been on the run. He has one desperate hope of getting his life back: track down the mysterious agent named Waterman. But in fact, reaching Waterman-and recovering the secrets lost in his own memory-will only increase his danger. Because a team of ruthless killers is rapidly closing in on him, determined to stop him from finding the answers. And the truth of the matter is more incredible...and more deadly...than he could ever imagine. -Taken from back cover of 'The Truth of the Matter'
Okay. I have been dreading this review for awhile because I tried really really hard to like it. This book was just not my style. I found it a bit hard to follow the writing and just ended up confused. I don't know if I just did not 'get' the author's style of writing or what. I really tried to get through it though and I feel bad. I would have to give this book 2 out of 5 stars.
There is a lot of action in the book, so if you like action, maybe you'll like it! This is the 3rd book in a trilogy, so if you've read the first 2, then you should probably pick up this one. If not, skip it. I don't think you'll be missing much. If anyone out there read it and loved it, please post your review!
