I read this book when I was a Sophomore in high school. It made a lasting impact on my life. The author did a terrific job of the character development of the two main characters. It provided an interesting look at a serious relationship that developed between the two. It was the first book I had ever read that seriously discussed some issues that affect a relationship such as alcohol, depression, and sex. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone, but I would not buy it for someone who was less than 15 or 16.
