In the second book of the Wind on Fire series, Bo and Kess have aged by several years and their thoughts on the world have changed. Each has a more independent struggle to face based on their experiences in the first book, but overthrowing the Mastery which has made slaves of their people requires them to work together again. Like the first story, this is not a complicated book. The descriptions are clear and straightforward without too much detail to slow things down. Supporting characters seem almost (almost) stereotypical, so that it's easy to relate to them and therefore consider the way Bo and Kess interact with them. We all know people who fit these molds, is this how we treat them? Is this the best way? While it's a relatively easy book to read, it has a tendency to make you think deeper about how people get along.

This is the second book in the Wind on fire trilogy and it is just as good as the first. The new ideas are surprising and the change in the situation and personality of the main characters is amazing. Some bits of this book are very grizly, it is probably to most disturbing of the three. Overall I liked this book and I would recommend it to anyone who likes a challenging plot and wants to believe in a little bit of magic.

Kestral Hath is going through a rough time. She is seperated from her twin Bowman for the first time ever. Bowman becomes a slave who has super-natural powers. When Kestral becomes friends with a princness. This is a great book where people find new friends and new personalties. I hope you find this book as good as I thought it was!
