Sarah used to be the good girl. The one who always had her hand raised in class, always obeyed her parents.

Until she met Robin. Once Robin comes into the picture, Sarah's life changes. Her closet begins to fill with black clothes. Good grades become something to be studiously avoided. And maintaining her other friendships doesn't seem so important anymore. Sarah thought she knew Robin. But Robin eats danger for breakfast, pushes the limits way too far, and forces Sarah to question everything in her life - everything Sarah thought she had wanted.

In stunning verse, this novel slowly reveals the complexities of friendship - the power it has to define, destroy, and eventually heal again.

This book was okay. it seemed a little cliche because this sort of stuff happens to everyone. i think the only different part was when i read about how sarah got over robin really fast other than different characters in different books who grieve over similar losses over longer periods of time.

Sarah has always been a good girl, being everything her parents and friends want her to be. So when she meets Robin, she's instantly intrigued. Robin is everything Sarah isn't -- bold, brave, different. Sarah is drawn to her energy, and they become friends. True, Sarah's parents aren't thrilled with the friendship, but Robin has taught Sarah that parents aren't always right. Her time spent with Robin makes her other friendships fade into the background, but Robin is all that Sarah needs. For once in her life she is daring, and she likes it. She hardly even notices that the others -- girls who used to be Sarah's friends, are scared of both her and Robin. When Robin's sullenness and attitude takes a drastic turn, Sarah realizes how truly destructive she is, and how maybe being bad isn't more fun than being good. Told in free verse, this friendship tale is moving, realistic, and powerful.

I absolutely loved this book. It was quick to read, but it is really deep. It is all in poems, but the way the author portrays her characters through the poems is so easy to relate to. You really feel like you know the characters. This book teaches you to be your own person and to not fall into the traps of peer pressure in high school. It is so realisitic and beautifully written. It'll keep you lauhging at some parts, sad, happy, everything. It is the perfect portrayal of high school life: friends, depression, boys, love, hate, and the search of finding your true self in a world of trying to fit in, or not fit in. You msut read this book!
