Tiger’s Trek is the second book in the spin-off to her original series about tigers, but now we are deep in a quest following two new characters. Colleen Houck has done fantastic work making this book similar to and different from the original five books. This is a new world with new characters and conceptions of tiger magic. If you loved the magic of the original Tiger's Curse series, I think this new endeavor is worth a read. In some ways, this latest installment has so far felt like a love letter to the original series of my youth while also being built for older readers. It reflects the growth of an author who has been writing this universe in (and out of, pun intended) for well over a decade. I am thrilled to jump right back into tiger antics, and the potential for adventure, intrigue, folklore, and relationships (it wouldn't be a good tiger book without a bit of back-and-forth, right?) Adventure, magic, the world through the eyes of ones you may not have experienced before, challenges, puzzles, love, friendship, curses, gifts, good versus evil… a little bit of everything can be found in this second series about the tiger's curse, and I'm excited to see what else will happen.
