Melody Carlson is one of my favorite authors. She truly gets how teenagers feel and think; not the sterotype way we feel. Her books are Christian fiction, so they deal with God. In this book, when Kara's friend Jordan becomes popular, they stop hanging out as much. All this time alone is making Kara feel lonely. She has nobody, or so she thinks. This is a story, as are most in the True Colors series, of finding God.
