I think that the book's plot was dragged out in the beginning and rushed toward the middle and end. The characters were shallow in the fact with emotion and development. Overall, I think the author focused too much on the setting and not enough on the characters and plot.
Good Points
It had a lot of descriptive words and figurative language. If you are an English teacher and are doing a lesson on figurative language then this is great.

Good Points
the book is good, but I think Winnie needs to be a little bit older 10 is the young Shes very manure for her age and Jesse should not have asked Winne to marry him but whatever he thinks is good. I'm more into harry potter it was to romantic!!!

I read this back in middle school for a class project. The story is so magical and enchanting that it is hard to forget. It's the first story I have ever read about "immortals", and anything I've read after Tuck Everlasting always gets compared. It's almost an ode to the fountain of youth!
Such a great book and an awesome movie too!

A beautiful, haunting story about immortality, coming of age, and hard choices. The story is romantic and full of difficult decisions that will keep readers talking long after they close the book.

This book is awesome! The whole thing of a family living forever is cool. I wouldn't wanna do it but it's cool to read about it.
It is soo romantic. Jesse is sooo amazing! When I was in 5th grade I had to read it in reading groups for school and there was this boy I had fallen in love with in my group named Jesse. I had to talk about the characters and I would say how much I love Jesse and how awesome Jesse is and they thought I was talking about Jesse Tuck from the book while the whole time I was talking about the boy sitting next to me.
This book gave me a way to say what I was afraid to without anyone knowing it.
This book is sooo cool. I would reccemend it to anyone.

As a young girl walks through the deep parts of the wood, she happens to stumble aupon a boy drink water.
Looks like ordinary water u will find anywhere.
But this water has powers. the power to keep you from ageing.
Some might say this is a great power but not everyone will agree.
Not able to age is a curse.
Seeing ur children age while you stay the same.
A curse that she will not want to take or will she.
FInd out in this page turning novel.

I read Tuck Everlasting for school and I really liked it.The concept of living forever was an interestingtopic for the book. The author did a really good job with writing about the characters, I felt as if i really knew them. This book was fun to read and to think about and I really reccomend it.

Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt poses the question if you could choose to live forever, would you really do it? The book begins with Winnie Foster, who is nearly 11 years old sneaking off in the woods near her house to get away from her uptight family for a day. Thats when she meets the Tuck family who tell her their story of drinking water from a spring and living forever. They tell her not to tell anyone their secret and try to convince her of the negative aspects of eternal life. One is clearly that they have to hide and cant form lasting relationships. Thats hardest on Jesse who has been 17 for a very long time (87 years) with no chance at love. Miles is the older brother who once had a wife and kids that left him when they saw he wasnt getting any older. Then there is Ma Mae and Pa who also had to live the accusations that they were into witchcraft and were forced with their sons to become nomads.

After hearing their miraculous story and spending time with them, Winnie starts to feel for them, especially lonely (and incredibly handsome) Jesse. She has to make a choice. She could drink from the well now and stay 11, go back home and come back when shes Jesses age and drink, or simply walk away and live a normal life.

The story is a great little fantasy piece with characters you come to care about deeply and a fascinating narrative hook. I highly recommend it, even for older teens and adults.
