Twilight is an Ok book overall.
The beginning was very slow, and kind of boring, but if venture far enough into the book, it gets really good, you can almost physically see the love between Bella and Edward!! Alice Cullen is so cool, but Emmet bothers me, I so want Bella to become a vampire, but the second book was alot better.

This book wasn't great. There were major plot holes as well as annoyingly perfect characters. But I am not going to go as far as some of the really hardcore Twilight haters who absolutely bash this book time and time again. Although this wasn't a great book I will admit it did appeal to my teenage girl side. I will even go as far as to say that it was slightly, ever so slightly, even enjoyable to read at times. Yes, the story telling got very annoying at times and for large portions of the plot it was just two people lusting for each other, but it wasn't exactly hard for me to read. It wasn't terrible to the point where my brain actually started to melt and I had to stop reading for my own sanity. It was an okay book, simple as that. And the reason for its ridiculous popularity is because look at the fan base. I am going to guess and say that 99.999% of Twilight fanatics are teenage girls. Why? Because, as I said before, this book appeals to the teenage girl in all of us.
This book does have a somewhat interesting story line. Girl loves boy and boy loves girl back, but boy also wants to suck girls blood. I read through this book fairly quickly and even though many say that the climax at the end of the book was a horrible plot device, I still found myself turning the pages to see what would happen next. Yes, I feel that it was a complete copy of other books such as Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix when Voldemort tricks Harry to walk into a trap just as James did with Bella. But I still found it amusing. Its an easy read that lets you escape into a heated romance. No, I am not going to leave this book with any moral values to question or some well thought out question about life and what it means, but i will leave this book feeling kinda giddy for no apparent reason.

Twilight is neither the next Lord of the Rings nor the worst book ever written. It is a nice romance that lets its readers be washed away into another world with a really Hott vampire. =)

So my review title leads you to believe I am an avid reader of vampire novels...WRONG!  I had only read Ann Rice's "Interview with a Vampire" in this genre, prior to this book series....This is definitely not what you've seen according to many books and movies...read on....

Readers of all ages, REJOICE! A book for all generations to share. Read this book and prepare to be "dazzled". Step into the world of Twilight....it looks as any other as you pull the dew-covered curtain back from the greenary that is Forks, Washington. This is the humble back drop for which the story unfolds upon. Bella, the clumsy, "next-door-neighbor" girl, and Edward, the unusually pale, cold, yet gorgeous mystery man, seem the unlikely pair....even to each other. Yet, the pure desire and emotions transcribed is palpable through every word. Full of action, adventure, and true love in its deepest form, Twilight will envelope you within it's pages and leave you breathless for more.

Bella Swan has never been in the center of attention, but then she moves to rainy Forks, Washington. She goes to her family friend Jacob, to find out more about the mysterious family and learns that they are vampires. The family of vampires that keeps a permanent residence in forks are "vegetarians" and live on animal blood. She's drawn to him, and him to her, but neither know why. After Edward has finally accepted that he can't live without her, things start to go haywire. Some nomad vampires come to Forks, and the unexpected chase of Bella's life turns everthing upside-down.

I know Twilight is a huge thing right now, but I will always love this book, even after all the fame and popularity of the series is over. I was there on the dayTwilight was first released in bookstores, before the big hubbabubba started. Only one other girl was in the store buying it. We were so excited to start reading it. I was taken in by the off balance personality of Bella. I was in love with the nerdy Tyler Crowley who wanted Bella but couldn't have her. I hated the rude Jacob and his possi. I wanted to meet a boy just like Edward so I could try and figure him out. I wanted to be Jasper's best friend. I can always return to this book and find a character that I feel could be my best friend, and it makes me so happy. I will always love this book and I hope those who jumped on the bandwagon after the movie will find why the book is so good and will want to keep reading it again and again.

this book was so captivating i was in love with edward from the very beggining.I didn't understand why he could be so hatefull at first the i was like OH! NOW I GET IT!.But Stephenie Meyer has and incredible imagination and creative mind. The way the charcters jump out of the page and seem so real is amazing. I loved how protective Edward was of Bella.I think that anyone who has read Twilight is in love one way or the other.Whether its with Jacob or Edward Stephenie did and AMAZING job.

I loved this book. I lived this book. I was so drawn into this book. I could not put it down. I want to be Bella.  The chracters are so planned and brought to life. They are so real. This story of love, supense, secrets and adventure is a book to read. It should be a classic. This verion of vampires are the best to ever come to life.

I read this book to see what all the hype was about and found it only satisfactory. I don't think it's the worst book out there but I don't see why it has so many die hard fans. I think that this is the best book in the series and it starts go downhill with New Moon.

I did like Stephenie Meyer's new take on vampires, in some ways they are cooler than traditional vampires. Traditional vampires can be killed with garlic, sunlight, and stake through the heart which makes them loose a lot of their scariness, however Meyer's vampires are mostly invincible which makes them cooler and scarier... until she made them sparkle in the sunlight which ruins everything dangerous about them.

Bella is what I consider to be the main problem with the story. She is the main character and also my least favorite. She comes off as whiny, childish, dull, and helpless. Unfortunately the story is told from her point of view which ruined some of the story for me.  Despite being unpopular at her old school Bella is almost automatically absorbed into the 'in-crowd' when she moves to Forks. She also has a parade of boys trying to ask her out, even though she's only average looking.  I've switched schools four times and I can tell you that being 'something new to look at' doesn't guarantee you instant popularity. Bella's only flaw, besides being insufferably irritating, is her clumsiness which is borderline ridiculous. If your falling down that much you probably have some sort of brain damage. After she hooks up with Edward she becomes the clingy sort of girlfriend that guys hate. Overall I think Meyer should've put some more work into Bella or told the story from the third person point of view.

Edward is the other main character I like him much better than Bella. Edward has the coolest vampire ability in my opinion, who wouldn't want to read minds? Most of his appeal for me is that he's not the pathetic, and whiny like Bella. Still most Edward's appeal to Bella is his appearance. Most of the time Bella describes him she spends a good three sentences on his rock hard muscles and ochre eyes. What color is ochre anyways? I always imagine it as pussy dark yellow. Edward also has some stalkerish tendancies such as watching Bella sleep. Personally I'd be creeped out if the boy I liked was watching me sleep. It is sweet for him to be protective of Bella but he takes it a little too far.

The plot was interesting but kind of slow. All the real action happened in the last few chapters of the book and the main villian didn't appear until more than halfway through. But overall I liked the book. I don't think I'll ever be a super fan but it wasn't as terrible as some people have described it and it's definately worth a read.

I thought Twilight was a  very  exciting.Stephanie  Meyers has a creative  imagination that really makes the book stand out. The fictional charters Edward, Bell Swan , Alice,Jasper,Emmit and rosalie Cullen just make the book come alive. The story line is conpletly brillint. The way thing twist is so ......... I cant describe it makes youre stomach flip .
