This is the series that got me back into reading. This is the best vampire romance i've ever read. I love Edward, and every other character dearly, accept Rosalie. She is just mean. But it is getting old. Not everything has to be about Twilight. There are other great books out there. Not just that one. I think girls are taking it to far-and i was one of them. But not anymore. It's just olda nd annoying.

Many of you readers will probably disagree with me but i personally and honestly think that this book was horrible. Its about a 17 year old girl named Bella who moves to the small town of Forks. She meets, well sees, a boy named Edward who's a vampire and falls in love with him before they even really get to know eachother. I didn't like this book because Bella comes off as a whiny, spoiled teenager who wants everything. She is constantly complaining about how ugly she is and how she doesn't like life. Also throughout the book, Edward takes advantage of Bella and doesn't allow her to make her own decisions. In my opinion this book is very cliche, and anti-feminist. Bella is a total Mary-sue. Maybe im being to hard but thats what i think. I wouldn't want to read this book again. But i think everyone should try reading a book before judging it. So go ahead and get a copy. :)

!!!!! I never wanted this book to end! i wish that stephanie would have made this series last forever. i dont know how her version of a vampire love story became such a hit among teens and tweens but she made an awesome set of characters and made you want to read about them forever. she must be living large right now because her books were freaking fantastic!!

Stephanie Meyer's first installment in her Twilight series is a quick and easy read. The plotline of vampires, high school, and love draw in readers easily. While the novel's plot is intriguing and interesting, the character development is wanting. All in all, the book is the literary equivalent of a Twinky: sugary, sweet, but ultimately insubstantial. After finishing the book in only a day, I was left wanting something more, something deeper. Suspended disbelief is required throughout almost the entire belief not in the aspect of vampires and werewolves, but rather in the characters' actions themselves, as Bella and Edward fall in love in what seems an instant, and what seems more as an infatuation rather than a strong bond of love.

this book is the book that started my craze with the supernatural. it captured my intrest right from the begining and kept me interested even after i read the book eight times. it is my most treasured book in my little library, and if i had my way would be kept in a glass case. i love this book and will treasure it when i am old and wrinkled.

This was the first book i ever read by this author i bought it beacuse of all the hype about the movie that came out recently. Love the whole book. I used to live near forks Washington years ago so I know the area. I was able visualize the whole thing. Bell was the first to grab me i know what is like to be the new kid tryoing to fit in to a childhood place you visted as a teen age. I was so torn beween wanting her to be with Edward and being with Jacob. the book had me all the way though a most read for anyone who loves stories about vampires and love stories this one has it all love suspense and a good cry. Even the boys love it they can imaginae what it would be like to be Edward and Edwar is so sesitive it oulls you right in.

From when bella and edward just met a and untill the last word on the page, i fell in love and wanted so badly to be bella, but take away all of the danger and things so i could be with edward forever.
stephine meyer is THE BEST authour of this time and i hope she makes more book so i can read them.. if you have never read twilight.........READ IT!
with lots of love,,

This book had it's ups and downs. "Twilight" had many many many grammatical errors, like Meyer constantly confusing which tense she writes in. However, since it was written for teenagers, I will forgive this.
Meyer's plot was quite interesting, though predictable. She kept you intrigued, after the first few boring chapters.
I felt like there was more hype over the book than there should have been. But, all well, it was decent.

In Twilight, Bella Swan moves from Phoenix, Arizona to live with her chief-of-police father in Forks, Washington, one of the rainiest places in the United States. Bella expects the move to Forks to be extremely boring. Could she be more wrong?
Bella becomes intrigued by a family with the surname Cullen. They are adopted, but they all favor one another with their pale skin. They also miss school when the sun shines and only associate with each other. She is particularly attracted to Edward Cullen, which is ironic because he is also painfully drawn to her, or at least to the smell of her blood.
Through the book, Bella is described as a magnet for danger. This statement's truthfulness manifests itself over and over. Not only has she managed to fall in love with a vampire, but it happens to be the one vampire that wants more than anything to kill her. That is, until he falls in love with her, too, and devotes all of his time to watch his fragile human and protect her from all of the perils of mortality, which he soon finds is a full time job when Bella finds her life threatened in every way possible.
Overall, I thought this was one of the greatest books I have ever read. I love to read, and I broke my ultimate rule of always reading the book before watching the movie because I did not think I would be interested in books about vampires. I liked the movie so much, that I read the book and the next three books in the series within the next two weeks. I fell in love with the characters of Bella and Edward, and it even made me, a vampire novel skeptic, wish that the world of vampirical teen romance truly existed.
This is also the only series of books that has compared to the Harry Potter series for me (and many others). Even though the themes of these books are not related, they share the addicting and captivating qualities of creating unique worlds with secrets intwined throughout the entire story. However, this book covers multiple themes. I would recommend this book to anyone that is a fan of Harry Potter books, general vampire books, any kind of teen "chick lit" books, or romance books in general.
