Val runs away to New York and meets quite a unique group of squatters. Lolli and Dave introduce Val into a whole new world of mystic and drugs, faerie drug that is, called Never. Val follows Dave around doing his 'job'. The fey are getting the drug from Dave, which keeps them strong from the steel and iorn as well as providing them with glamour. The fey are also being murdered... Val becomes addicted to Never and meets Ravus, who helps Val in her journey to recover and solve the murder mystery.
The mystical nature of this book is so gracefully combined with everyday life and reality. I LOVE this book, it is my favorite.
