The first book in Ellen Schreiber's series Vampire Kisses is one of my favorite books ever. It was really interesting and not cliche like I assumed it would be. I was totally wrong. I especially like the main character Raven. She is an extremely peculiar character. Ever since she was in Kindergarten she has always wanted to be a Vampire. And when a new family rumered to be Vampires moves into the Haunted Mansion Racen is obsessed with, she jumps at the chance. This is a great book and highly reccommended to everyone who loves vampire books!!!

the author uses great imagery, but she uses a few words too often. for example, the word 'lingering' showed up noticably.
if you have read Stephanie Meyer's 'Twilight', 'New Moon' and 'Eclipse'
you may like this. it has romance but focuses more on action than the Twilight series does.
every ending of a book ends with suspense so if you dont like cliff-hangers, this book is not for you.
it is a shorter novel, too short in my opinion, i think she could have carried it on longer and most of the situations and mysteries are pretty predictable. but an all around good read

This is the best book of all time. I loved it when Raven found ou that her soul mate was a vampire. It was so shocking. But also so romantic.I also like it when Raven would always dream of becoming a "Princess of the night".That was so cool.I would love to read the second one and see how that goes. Ellen you are my idol. I wright stories and hope that one day it will get published and i will become a faoums wrighter like you.I Love Vampire Kisses!!!

This book is one of the most addictive vampire books I have read, second only to the Twilight saga. It kept me reading into the wee hours of dawn...long past my bedtime...and hardly any book ever takes me away from my sleep.

The protagonist is easy to relate to - different and out of place, like most teen girls feel. The book is full of humor and wit - and maybe even a real vampire!

Vampire Kisses is one of my other fave. books i must say. I love al the books in the series. they keep you reading and interested in whats going to happen next. theres always soemthing going on in the story. some kind of mystery or problem waiting to happen. the couple always has to wait til the dark to be togehter considering the male is a vampire. They also have to hide his vampiric identity from everyone else in the town. This book is full of adventure, mystery and romance. i would recoment this to people into fantasy and romance books. i would say for ages 14 and up.

I was introduced to this book by my friend who told me that I should read this book. I was skeptic at first because I didn't believe that this book was going to be good. First of all, I'm not into the whole vampire theme thing. But once I started to read a couple of pages from the book, I found that the book was not that bad. There's a love story that happens in the story and it's cute. It's not those cheesy type romances that you usually find in books. I recommend this book to fans of Stephanie Meyer or whoever loves Twilight or New Moon.

I thought this book was very well written. IT has manythings young readers look into such as romance, intrgue, mystery, horror and of course let us not forget a misinterpreted teenage girl and a hot vampire! Vampire kisses tells the story of sixteen year old Raven agirl who wears black but who people don't understand so label her. Raven has always been curious and adventurous but when these new people move into the haunted, abondoned mansion no ones lived in for years she decides to check it out. What she finds out about the new inhabitants will surprise everyone especially Raven and it doens't hurt that the new family happens to have a gorgeous, seventeen year old son named Alexander!

Living in a small town as the only girl who wears black lipstick, vampire fanatic sixteen-year-old Raven Madison (Goth girl) is an outcast. But not for long for the rumored-to-be haunted mansion on top of Benson Hill, Ravens Barbie Dream House, that has stood boarded-up for years has been recently occupied by a mysteriously strange new family and a creepy old butler. Raven is excited about the new arrival and can’t wait to meet the occupants in the mansion. So being as impatient as she is she decides to sneak into the old mansion discovering gold framed, wood framed, rectangular framed mirrors covered with blankets and a big painting with Frankenstein, the Werewolf, and Count Dracula. Who are this strange people- especially the great looking, seventeen- year -old, handsome, dark, and secretive Alexander Sterling? Could the town prattle be true? Are they vampires? I really enjoyed reading “Vampire Kisses” by Ellen Schreiber it’s hilariously funny and Raven can’t help but pull you along on her every adventure of love, mystery, and darkness. Ellen Schreiber’s dark and exciting romance tells the story of two outsiders who fall in love in a town where being different is sort of a crime. Ellen Schreiber was an actress and a stand-up comedian before becoming a writer. She is the author of the novel TEENAGE MERMAID.
