This book is about high school senior Sophie who is pregnant and waiting for her baby to be born in June. She goes through a lot with her shaky relationship with her mom, misses being a little girl, and is trying to figure out who her long lost father is. The only way she survives being ignored and made fun of at school is through her friends Acacia and Joshua whoa re there for her through her whole pregnancy and after.
This book is very realistic and included petry since Sohpie wants to be a poet. Her baby seems somewhat magical to her for she believes June, the name of her baby, is making her dream of whales and the Tequesta tribe, which goes back to her babie's realy father and heritage.
Sophie learns a lot about life, trusting people, and the true meaning of friendship and hard work. You will, too, after you read this amazing, breezy book!
