Megan Tuw is the leader of her popular clique at high school. She meets Perdita called the Freak by her and classmates who's really into poetry and other non-cool things. Megan begans to find Perdita much more interesting than her group, who are organizing this stupid protest. Will she befriend Perdita and risk losing her rep?
The most interesting parts of the story involves Megan's rules for her group, which she created, how to let people down gently, how to intercede if a member isn't doing what they should be doing and so on. She's often not really sympathetic towards Perdita and it makes the ending more problematic.
If you enjoy books about popular cliques and outsiders, I think you'll like this one. But Megan isn't a very likable character and neither is Perdita.
