Tessa doesn't believe in fate or magic. She's still having a hard time getting over the death of her mother. Then she sees a tapestry at an auction and knows she has to have it. The unicorn in the middle seems familar to her and very much alive.

When Tessa pulls a loose thread from the tapestry, she releases a secret. William de Chaucy, a young sixteen-century nobleman appears. He's gorgeous and very full of himself. But somehow Tessa knows him and he claims she looks familar to him too.

By releasing William from the tapestry, Tessa has unleased the fury of the Norn sisters, also known as the Fates, who believe she has something of theirs. If Tessa doesn't return them, everything she loves will be destroyed.

I really loved the premise of this story that reminded me of Somewhere in Time meets the middle ages. Love the time traveling aspect of this story too. Will is one hot sixteen-century guy and the chemistry between both him and Tessa is very real. I loved how the author shows our world through Will's eyes. The Norn sisters are nasty and scary with their threats to Tessa. I also enjoyed how Tessa's father plays a part in this story as not the stereotypical absent father, but someone who's concerned and there for her.

At times though Tessa's attitude was a tad bit too snobby especially on how she first deals with Will. The internal voice got in the way of an otherwise engaging story.

I love the ending and wonder if there might be more to this story? The unique twist of this fantasy and the whole hottie sixteen-century nobleman coming into our world makes this a delightful read.
