Im sure many Warrior fans, myself included, have been eagerly awaiting this book to find out what happened to Firestars deputy and best friend, Greystripe!
Ever since Greystripe was captured by two-legs in the middle of the New Prophecy series, Firestar has been finding it hard to move on and believes that his closest friend has not joined Star Clan yet. He was right to believe that, and we finally get a glimpse into exactly what Greystripe has been up to during his disappearance!
Having been captured and sent to live with a human family, Greystripe has to adjust to his new life and recover his strength so that he can find a way to get back to his clan. He has grown fond of his owners children but he knows a soft kittypets life does not suit him and resolves to leave. He has a skirmish or two with other kittypets who are rather territorial, giving him a chance to brush up on his rusty warrior skills. During his stay, he has also met another kittypet, Millie, whom he has gotten close to. She has asked Greystripe about his clan life, and has shown an interest in it, eventually learning fighting movies and about other necessities of life in the clans. She is the loving friend that Greystripe really needs during his lonely time with the two-legs, and perhaps for even longer&
This book gave great insight to what Greystripe has been up to since his capture! It was great learning how Greystripe met his new mate and to see how he has really grown since his earlier days with the clan. He is already a much braver, wiser, and more mature cat! I cant wait until the next installment in this manga series to find out what happened on the rest of Greystripe and Millies adventure!
