In the fourth installment of the Shadow Falls series, Kylie finally knows who she is, and now she just wants to know what exactly that means. Unfortunately, she still doesn't know whether or not she likes Derek or Lucas, even though I myself have finally figured out who my vote is cast to. The book didn't seem as exciting and driven as the one before, but the end definitely makes up for it, and I am dying to read the next one (which thankfully comes out in half a year).
I recommend this book to anyone who is still following the series, because this is not a book you can pick up without having read the ones before.
Enjoy!

Whispers at Moonrise is a great addition to the Shadow Falls series. I love Kylie more and more as the books go on as she demonstrates her loyalty and her willingness to sacrifice for her friends.
All though she is headstrong and makes some decisions that I do not quite agree with, I don't know if I would do anything differently if I were actually in her position and it would also not really add action, suspense and drama to the story. It isn't a complaint, just an observation.
Also, I am completely over Lucas in this book. I am sold on Derek and I am not sure if Lucas can do anything to redeem himself in my eyes. Sure they have hot moments, and there is the history, but he keeps treating her like she is beneath him, and while I understand that he is trying to change things, I do not think that Kylie's heart being crushed is worth it.
There is a small cast of new characters, some of whom I didn't know if I should trust, and with all of the secrecy going on there were even some long standing characters that I began to question, although one in particular totally redeemed themself and made me feel horrible for my doubt.
Bottom Line: Gripping addition to my current addictive series.

“The stupid vamp just asked me to marry him. Here, now? As if looking like I just died is how I wanted to be proposed to.”

Joy did a lap around Kylie’s heart. “And you said?”

Holiday took a sip of water. “I asked him if we couldn’t just live together in sin.”

“And?”

“He told me it wouldn’t be a good example to our students. So…I agreed to marry him.” She pushed a hand against her forehead. “Dear God, what am I getting myself into?”

The fourth installment in the Shadowfalls series does not disappoint. Kylie finally knows what kind of supernatural she is, but she needs to know more. Like how to control it. Of all the supernatural races, she had to come from one that no one has heard of.

Her Grandfather and Aunt want her to come stay with them so they can teach her how to control her powers, and protect her from rogues that want to use Kylie or hurt her.

Kylie is torn about a lot of things. Lucas is keeping things form her, Derek told her he was in love with her, and a ghost that looks like Holiday is haunting her!

Shadowfalls is home to her, and Holiday, Burnett, Della, Miranda, Derek, and Lucas are her family. But Kylie is going to have to make some hard choices to figure out about her heritage. Will she have to leave Shadowfalls and her friends?

Immerse yourself in the Shadowfalls world and find out what happens to Kylie in this much-anticipated story!
