I picked up this book in the library and I never expected it to be so good! The main chracter, Courtney Von Dragen Smith, left her old life and boyfriend, Grant, back home to attend Cornwall Falls College in Wisconsin. Everyone here is blonde and loves dairy/meats, which is not good when your trying to stay a true vegetarian. It seems to her she made the wrong choice. What to do?
Courtney struggles with her long-distant relationship with Grant, her roommate with farm girl Mary Jo, and just trying to fit in with this new life. She joins a club on campus called the Badicals and she leads a protest against the school initials, CFC, which also stands for a toxin that deteriorates the ozone layer. Between all this, school, work, and boys, Courtney deals with new experiences and obstacles. Be prepared for a fun and hilarious ride through Courtney's freshman life!
Through her numerous diary entries, you'll laugh, cry, shout, and truly fall in love with Courtney's quirky and fun character, attitude, and realistic lifestyle. She's like many girls you can relate to.
I'll definitely read the book Truth or Dairy, which came before this one. Author Catherine Clark keeps you hooked and wanting more from Courtney. Read this book now and you'll have the best time ever. Promise!
