This is the second, exciting, book in the series. Jess decides to be a camp counselor at a camp with her friend and she knows she is beng watched. She trys to help find a little girl for her father and then has to get away from the feds. she also comes a cross some other problems along the way.

If you liked the first one you'll love the second. :)!

Jess is now working a summer job at a camp. A music camp. All is going well, except for her problems with reading music. Then someone asks her to find their missing kid. Now Jess is in trouble. She had hoped that everyone believed her when she said that her powers were gone. Just lovely. And she can't refuse to help the poor guy. But once again the Special Agents are on her case...
Its a really good book and completely lives up to its prequel.

Jess Mastriani is back from 1-800-Where-R-You: When Lightning Strikes for 1-800-Where-R-You: Code Name Cassandra. She out to Camp Wawasee for gifted young musicians with her best friend, Ruth Abramowitz. She’s told the press that her psychic powers are gone. However, Ruth and Jess are secretly smuggling packages from Rosemary into camp. They contain pictures of missing kids that Jess will find. The thing is the leaders of Camp Wawasee have neglected to find out that Jess is the famous psychic. The kids in Jess’s cabin, who happen to be boys, notice her resemblance to the famous psychic and believe she is the “Lightning Girl.” Of course, Jess denies it. But, soon, the leaders of camp find out and aren’t very happy. Sometime in the near future, a man, Mr. Herzberg, comes into the camp. He wants Jess’s help finding is daughter. Jess doesn’t want to reveal her existing psychic powers, but decides to “try” for him anyway. Obviously, she does knew where his daughter is. So, she calls Rob Wilkins (motorcycle boy) to take her to Chicago, where the girl is (with her mother and her mother’s boyfriend). Jess wants to confirm that this girl wants out of the situation, considering past circumstances. Without thinking, Jess and Rob take the girl away. She is in a bad situation. By the time they are out of a cruel and moronic step-father’s range, Jess contacts Mr. Herzberg and returns him to his daughter. This causes the step-father to hold an outrageous grudge against Jess, who also beat him up badly, and is on a quest to kill her. When Jess gets back to camp, one of her snotty campers is missing. There are many police cars and she’s going to a safe house to hide from the step-father. However, she knows where the kid is. She must find him and stay away from the evil step-father before it is too late.


1-800-Where-R-You: Code Name Cassandra is an excellent book for girls to read, It will make you hooked with the action and adventure. I love Jess’s character the most about the book. She’s daring, funny, and real, except for the psychic part. I recommend this for girls 12 and up. 5 stars for creativity!
