I’m thrilled to introduce Love and Other Cages to my readers. This novel represents the story I longed to read as an older teen—one that captures the exhilarating rush of first love in all its dreamlike and naive complexity. It features Mina Arkova, a fiercely acerbic and brave young woman, and her tough-as-nails first-generation mother. The book also offers a unique perspective on Oliver Mondell, a child abuse survivor from the foster care system who has relocated to Los Angeles for a fresh start. About the Author: Emilia Ares
Emilia Ares is an Armenian-American actress, best known for her roles in American Horror Story and Bosch. She’s also the co-producer of “Burden” and the award-winning author of Love and Other Sins, her debut YA novel. Emilia holds a BA from UCLA, majoring in Economics with a Minor in Russian. A California native, she resides in Los Angeles with her husband, children, and 13 thriving plants. Passionate about storytelling and community, Emilia actively supports organizations like NCMEC and RAINN.
