About the Book: Nobody In Particular

Young Royals meets The Prince and Me when a disgraced princess falls for a new student at their all-girls boarding school, but the two must hide their forbidden love at all costs.

Princess Rosemary of Henland can’t afford distractions. She’s working tirelessly to repair her image following a scandal that lost the trust of both her country and her best friend. Unfortunately, when a beautiful and funny new student joins her boarding school, Rose finds herself quite distracted indeed.

Attending Bramppath College on a music scholarship, talented pianist Danni expects to be an outcast amongst the wealthy children of the elite, but she is pleasantly surprised to be taken in by the ex-best friend of the princess. The more Danni gets to know her new classmates, the more intrigued she becomes by Rose.

When somebody sees something they shouldn’t and rumors circulate throughout Henland, Rose and Danni must either find a way to deflect the ever-increasing eyes on their relationship, or end it altogether. Because one thing is clear: if Rose’s fragile reputation takes any more hits, the palace will do whatever they must to separate Rose and Danni. Forever.

~Author Chat~

YABC:  What gave you the inspiration to write this book?

I was twenty-one years old and at my job in a grocery store, and the entire plot just sort of presented itself from beginning to end while I was assisting customers in the self-serve area! I kept harassing one of my coworkers at a manned checkout asking if my plot idea made sense, and he was a fan.

YABC: How do you know when a book is finished?

When I feel like I could recite it inside and out. When I start playing around with changing one or two words here and there rather than overhauling scenes. When I get protective over what’s on the page, rather than being wide open to feedback, like I would be in the early stages.

YABC: When did you know you wanted to be a writer?

I started having the idea planted in my head in primary school by a visiting author and some of my teachers, but I really committed to the idea when I was around twenty.

YABC: What type of scene do you love to write the most?

I love anything with high stakes! Panic, fear, worry, etc.

YABC:   What is your favorite reading space?

I love to read in bed! And audiobooks while walking.

YABC: What hobbies do you enjoy?

Art, piano, singing, ice skating, baking, gardening, running, and video games! I probably ice skate the most out of all of these. Ironically it’s the one I have the absolute least natural talent at. I either like suffering, or a challenge, you pick.

YABC: What is your favorite holiday or tradition and why?

I’m a huge Christmas girl! I love putting up the tree on December 1st, I have my Christmas playlist, I love the hot weather, Christmas prawns, the whole thing!

YABC:   What’s up next for you?

I have a fantasy YA book (the plot of which is yet to be announced!) coming out next year I’m really excited about. I can’t wait for everyone to read!
