Dress Up For Christmas

Crocodile Christmas tells the story of Christmas Eve in the jungle, as all the animals have come out to play dress up. Take turns guessing who is now dressed up as Santa Claus.

What I Liked: This book opens by introducing you to a group of animals who are planning on playing dress up on Christmas Eve. This book uses simple language so that younger readers can follow along and enjoy the engaging illustrations while listening to the story.

The illustrations throughout this book are fun and make animals approachable to a young crowd. The animals have humanistic characteristics such as standing on 2 feet and wearing clothing. The clothing on the animals is all different, so as they play dress up, there are distinct features that make it clear they are dressing up as Santa Claus, such as his beard or the Santa hat.

Final Verdict: Crocodile Christmas is a fun rhyming children’s book with cute and silly art, making for a playful read with young children. Children of all ages will enjoy listening to this book as they await the arrival of Santa Claus on Christmas Eve. This book is perfect to introduce children to Santa Claus in a fun and silly manner.
