Do Your Ears Hang Low? The Dinos Want to Know is a cute take on the classic nursery rhyme that incorporates dinosaurs into the game. This unique nursery rhyme features the short arms of a T. rex, along with the long tail of a Brontosaurus, to highlight their special traits and help their friends.

What I Liked: This book opens with the rhyming verse from the classic Do Your Ears Hang Low? nursery rhyme, but unfortunately, the dinosaurs can’t join in because they don’t have ears. The illustrations throughout this book do a great job of highlighting the aspects of the dinosaurs that are included throughout the rhyme.

This book is great to show children how their unique differences can be their strengths and how to use those strengths to help others. The book takes turns with each dinosaur to ensure that we highlight both of their unique traits, such as their tiny arms or long tail. This book also does a great job of using descriptive words when talking about the short arms and long tail, which can help build a young child’s vocabulary.

Final Verdict: Do Your Ears Hang Low? The Dinos Want to Know is a fun and silly take on the classic nursery rhyme that children as young as 2 years old will delight in. Adults will enjoy reading this one out loud to their children, as they laugh at the creative way the dinosaurs are incorporated into the rhyme.
