I liked this book but it took to long to get going and wanted more things to happen or atleased more interesting things to happen. James Maloney went far but not far enough he could've gone further with his ideas for the book. I'm reading another of his books now, and he has some okay ideas but I don't think he will use that to his advantage. Plus why do adults have to judge the book kids should than he (Maloney) could get some real feedback.

Yes i thought it was a great book. Our class red it as an assignment. The issuses in the book really do relate to teenages. I would read this book again. Sad ending tho.

Hmm, I found this book to be extremely boring...maybe it is my age or whatever. I found the family issues to be toally realistic, but there wasn't much else to the book. It was sort of a waste, but oh well.

have not finished think it is a good book you have to understand what he is talking about, Carl Matt is a boy who has abandonment issues and unlike the rest of his family he is kind and generous and is forced to work and drop out of school to support his brother and stuck up aunt
