Candy Quackenbush lives in the most boring place every, Chickentown. One day, she walk through a field and met John Mischief with his seven heads on his antlers starting her adventure. They leap in the Sea of Izabella that came out of nowhere bringing them to Abarat. Abarat is a place that has an island for each hour of the day and an extra island. Candy journeys from a adventure to another adventure meeting new friends, but also making ememies. Candy finds out that she is here to save Abarat from the dark side.

This book, I couldn't stop reading. Every adventure Candy encounters is exciting. If you are bored, read this book to kill your boredom.
