Among The Hidden is about Luke and his family. Luke has to hide from the outside because he is a third child. There is a Population law that says you have to only two kids only. He has two brothers and of course a mom and a dad. His brothers names are Matthew and Mark. Matthew and Mark can actually go outside and go to school. Luke felt like he was in prison, he hated to hide. But when he was just about to lose hope, he saw a face, a kind of young face in the Sports family window when everybody already left. He starts to make a plan to go meet the face. He finally got the idea, goes outside, and goes inside the Sports family house. He was very excited about meeting another third child. Her name was Jen; she has a very good personality and is very brave. But when she asks Luke to join her for the rally, will he go?

First I thought the book was very interesting and entertaining. I liked reading about the Population law and Luke and Jen. If the Population law was in South Carolina, I would very sad because Im a third child and I wouldnt be able to go outside or meet anybody. My favorite quote in the book in the book was she She wanted to live. Not die. Not hide. Live. I thought that was a good quote. Its a really strong quote. My favorite character is Luke because I thought Luke was a brave curious character. When he was learning all these things that Jen told him and him going to Jens house from his house was a very interesting part. I thought that Jen was cool because she got to go outside even if she was a third child and I thought she was brave because she is brave enough to go to the rally.

Second I didnt like what happened at Jen at the rally. It was kind of shocking. I didnt like the part when Jen cut her hand for Luke and squeezed out blood onto the carpet. It was touching but, it almost made me throw up. I thought it was kind of sad when Lukes mom told him he couldnt be in the kitchen or eat with them anymore.

My rating for this book is 5 stars. This is a very exciting, entertaining, interesting, cant put down book. People from 7 to 85 will love this book. 7 because I dont think little kids like 5 and 6 years old will understand this book.

A few days later luke goes over to the  house and tries to get in but he did not know that there was a alarm. Will Luke get caught by his parents or will the population police come? If u want to find out what will happen or what poplation police are then pick up this book.
Any person could read it but its mostly for childern ages 9-11 are proably the best ages. This is a really good book so do not wait to long to get the book or cheack it out from a public or school libary.

Ive never heard of a law like this one. Let me explain the law.  Well the population law says that a family can just have two kids .So Luke makes me feel like it really did happen. Its like me in the book. Well Luke Garner is a third child so that means hes illegal .So all his life he has been hiding and dreaming that one day he will be free. Well one day he sees something in the neighbors house. The sports family has two boys but already left for school. Would a boy be sick or is it a third child? Find out!

First, I really truly love this book because it has mysterious parts in it .Such as will

he risk his life to go find out if its a third child?

To conclude, I advise this book to people who like mysterious things who like to try to find up whats next, of course sad and happy moments . You have to read its still available for you to read it.

Luke and Jen

What happen in Among the Hidden Is that Luke meets another third child just like him .He becomes friends with Jen. Jen talks all about the rally in this book .Close to the middle of the book Jen comes to Luke house during the night. They talk about the rally .Before leaving Luke house, Jen says We can only hope. Good bye Luke.

First reason, I like this book because Luke becomes friends with Jen. And they will always be friends forever. Second Reason, Luke does not get caught in Jen house.

I think my friends and my mom should like this book because it talks all about friendship. I hope they like this book.

Luke Garner is a illegal third child that lives in an attic!!! One day, trees around hes house are cut down.  Hes mom says: Luke! Inside .Now. then Luke says This is the last time Ill ever be allowed outside again!!! He has been called inside for the last time!!!

The first reason I liked the book is because its filled with adventure. Another reason is one day he sees a fase in a window. Could it be another third child ???

I recommend this book for people 7+!!!

If your 6- than have your parents read it to you!!!

Ive never heard of a population law until I read Among The Hidden. Jen was also very brave, but one thing I couldnt decide was which one was braver Luke or Jen. Most people thought it was Jen because she didnt care about the Population Police. Luke was always afraid for example when Jen put his name on the computer he said The Population Police cant find me because of what you did can they?

First, I liked the book mostly because of Jen. I liked Luke also. I liked how Jen was always sarcastic and, I liked Luke because he always seamed to be afraid, but it wasnt funny that he was always. It was just interesting of how many things he was afraid of.

Lastly, I would recommend this book to people who like mysteries and excitement. I liked how it had a mixture of excitement and mysteries. So trust me you will not put the book down until you finish it.

Among The Hidden is a very interesting book. It is about a third child named Luke Garner who only knows his mother, father, and his brothers Mathew and Mark. He only knows them because he lives in a place where women can only have two children. One day while everybody in his family are either gone at school or at work, Luke looks out the windows and sees somebody in his neighbors house. Luke knows exactly how many people are living in each house so he thinks its a robber who has broken in, but he also has some other ideas about who it might be. Luke decides after many days that he will go over to their house and see who it might be. When he finally goes over he has to rip open the screen door to get in. Once he gets in he notices that the security system is going off, (real trouble for Luke)! he hears a beeping noise and follows it through the house. he finds a computer room with someone sitting in the chair typing. He accidently gasped  and she turned around and suddenly she tackles him. Luke thinks she might be another third child just like him. But you'll have to read the book to find out what happens next!
I think this book doesn't have an age limit so if you're interested in a book with comedy, adventure, and excitement then this book is just right for you. You might be interested in some of Margeret's other books to because she's an awesome author!
