What I liked:
One of the things I like most about W. Bruce Cameron's Puppy Tales series is that he writes these books for children with great respect. He never talks down to children. Instead, he takes the best part of his adult novels about dogs and tells the stories with heart in a way suitable for younger readers. Based on A Dog's Way Home, Bella's Story has the same soul as the previous books and all the cheer-worthy content.
Final Verdict:
Bella's Story echoes the incredible journey movies where a pet makes an impossible, dangerous journey to return to the owners they love. In addition, the book includes an age-appropriate discussion guide at the end of the book, which includes discussion questions, activities, and even thoughts on reading it in a classroom setting.
