Blue Bloods is an action packed, romance, thriller, fantasy and many other genres alike. When a young outsider notices some big changes in herself she learns who she is and an even bigger shocker a hidden enemy that no other of her kind will even think of. It defies all the norms of Vampire novels and is a different kind of awesome than Twilight. This book tells the story from 3 different girls perspectives following them through their transformation into a vampire and their normal teenage responsibilities.

Schuyler doesn't fit in at her New York private school, Duchesne. She's never been into the expensive clothes and jewelry and not just because her family's decaying financial condition can't afford it. She's an outcast and always will be,

But when she turns fifteen, her life changes dramatically. One of the girls in her class shows up dead and Jack Force, the most popular boy in school actually talks to her. And then she's thrown into the most exclusive social committee in New York, where she is told that she's an indestructible vampire. But now something is coming after her, and the indestructible part of being a Blue Blood might have some exceptions.

I heard that this was the vampire Gossip Girl. Someone forgot to mention that they actually put a plot in it, making it more like The Elite than Gossip Girl.

This book was a little slow to start. But when the action began it was hard to stop reading. The story is very enjoyable. The writing was fabulous and it definitely makes you want to read the second book, Masquerade. I was very surprised by the book. I hadn't expected to like it, but I did. The vampires in this story are much different than any others I've read.

I would recommend the Blue Bloods books. Vampire lovers and anyone who enjoys reading paranormal books would adore them. Gossip Girl readers will also enjoy it!

This series is going to do more then rival Twlight.

So thought out, so complex, lots of foreshadowing. The Fallen Angels turned Vampires? So orginal.

Jack and Sky belong together and that sister needs to get a taste of her own medicine. Which she does in the second one.

I wish that this story just followed Sky and Jack's sister Mimi....she needs to get a life that doesn't involve her brother.

It was so good, i read the second one on accident first, so i had to go back and read this one. It was better then i ever thought it was going to be.

Blue Bloods is shown through many characters' points of views. Each character gets a chance to narrate what is going on in their life, in that section. One of the main characters is Schuyler. Schuyler has always been seen as the outcast at her small school. She isn't as materialistic, as some of her other classmates. However, within time she learns that she is a vampire, and for once in her life she is connected to people she would have never thought possible to be connected to. She is more confused as ever, but she is willing to accept this change in her life. Soon after she finds out what she is, she is already on a mission to find out what has been hunting other vampires, like her. Before she becomes next.

I really liked this book. I couldn't help comparing it to Twilight, and I must say that both come really close as to how good both are. All of the characters bring something unique and different to the book. Melissa De La Cruz did an excellent job writing it, and by not making her book into 'just another vampire book'. I would recommend this book to anyone up for a good read.

I loved Blue Bloods it was awesome.

Schuyler Van Alen goes to the most prestigious private school in New York City, Duchesne. While Duchesne is full of Prada wearing glamour, Schuyler is completely not. She wears vintage and baggy clothes, so its obvious she doesnt fit in.

Then on her 15th birthday things started to change. A mosaic of blue veins started to appear on her arms and she begins to fancy raw meat. She then discovers something unbelievable; the New York Blood Bank Committee is a secret vampire society of elite wealthy families called the Blue Bloods. To make things even weirder she is part of it!

A series of strange events starts to happen. Jack Force, the most popular guy in school, is taking notice of her, a fellow schoolmate and Blue Blood dies, and a dangerous secret from their past is being kept from the new Blue Bloods. A secret that Schuyler is determined to find out.

This is a definite must-read for all vampire fans out there. It has an interesting twist on vampires by using the glamor of NYC and American history that will keep you reading.

Welcome to the lives of the Manhattan elite. Only, these people are different from what most people would think. Theyre Blue Bloods or vampires. The signs start to appear when you reach the age 15. Blue veins become more apparent in their arms, and they get visions of historical events. They crave raw meat and if they tried, they would find out that they cant really die. All this happens to Schuyler, an outcast at her elite school which sort of leads to her acceptance in the school.

But they are being threatened. Some of them have been attacked and even murdered by a mysterious foe. Schuyler and her best friend Oliver, who isnt a Blue Blood, do some research and find out that their enemy is a Silver Blood, or a Blue Blood who drinks the blood over other Blue Bloods to become more powerful.

I really enjoyed reading this new idea about vampires. I also liked the connections to the history of the colony of Roanoke. There was much action, suspense, and even romance in this novel and it really kept me guessing. I recommend this book to all vampire novel fans.

Schulyer Van Alen, an orphan, is an outsider. Yet, Jack Force, the most popular guy in school seems drawn to her. And her veins are turning blue. Not to mention, she's starting to have deep cravings for raw, bloody meat.

Schulyer finds that she is a Blue Blood, that is, a vampire. Yet, all is not what it seems in the Blue Blood world.
When one of the popular, blue blood girls is found dead, havoc breaks loose.

Because Blue Bloods are not supposed to die.
And Schulyer and her friends need to get to the bottom of the problem. Before something else bad happens.

I loved this book, I thought it was a pretty unique type of vampire that Melissa de la Cruz ha created, as well as her way of entwining the story. The characters are real and relatable. The only qualms I had about this book was that it was too short, I never wanted it to finish.
