If you like literature that can make you tear up and smile at the same time, Blue is a great book for you.
Ann
Fay Honeycutt is a 13 year old girl who is forced to become
"man-of-the-house" when her father is sent to fight the Nazis. As if
tending the family garden and catering to the needs of her mother, and
younger siblings Ida, Ellie, and Bobby, wasn't hard enough, a whole new
strain is brought upon her when polio strikes her home of Hickory,
North Carolina.

This
book keeps you on the edge of your seat and wanting more with
unexpected twists and suspense. It also tells a realistic story that
makes you feel like you were right there enduring all the tragedy and
joy along with the characters.

I highly recommend this book for anyone looking for a regaling story. Joyce Moyer Hostetter did an amazing job, I give Blue 9 out 10 stars.
