The book Blue by Joyce Moyer Hostetter is a great book for anyone who likes to experience different emotions on almost every page.

 

Blue is about a thirteen year old girl named Anne-Faye who,
when her father leaves to fight in the war, has to take over l of her
father's responsibilities.  With the help of her neighbor, Junior, and
her younger siblings, Bobby, Ida, and Ellie, she has everything running
pretty smoothly.  Then one day tragedy strikes their Hickory, NC home.

 

This book keeps you wanting to turn the page.  There is always
some sort of surprise coming on the next page.  This book also teaches
you about what children in this area had to go through during this time
of war and the polio epidimic.

 

This was a great book that is appropriate for all ages.  I gave this book a rating of five out of five.
