Egg or more appropriately Victoria is one of the best heroines of our time. She really brings it with her own since of humor and her love for old movies. She breaks from her shell (get it!) to become a great person who you truly and admire. The lead main character is really hot, even though you hate him most of the novel. He is really stupid sometimes. Also you will love and hate all the adults in this novel. All nerds will love this novel and its sci-fi references. Eggs change is great to read and will make you laugh and sometimes want to scream.

This book is about a girl named Victoria, daughter of highly acclaimed Hollywood stars. She loves sci-fi movies, and dresses after her favorite sci-fi heroin-Egg. She prefers to be alone; she talks to no one and no one talks to her and she likes it that way. Aside from her sci-fi club friends, she as no one. Then, Max Carter comes to her school and she instantly hates him. He is academically gifted like Egg and soon her GPA starts to drop behind his perfect grades. Max tries to get to know her and become friends with her but she can't admit how much she wants him. That would be weak and so totally unlike her. When he starts to go out with the girl Egg most hates, she can hardly contain her feelings for Max. But will it be to late?
This book was good because you really got to see Egg grow as a person and realize that being alone is lonelier than she thought. Especially when there's a cute guy you want as your own.

Egg or Victoria, is a fantasy science fiction fan, who just happens to dress has her favorite character. Being Gifted is easy for her until Max shows up.
Max is a respectful person who gets what Egg has to say, but respectful to the point that he will listen when she says space is nessary. And when Egg is anti-socail it means he'll go out with someone else even if it compremiases him.
When Egg finally becomes Victorai again, after realiseing how she was hiding within herself, things start to work out.
This is a good book about how it's better to be you and nice to people at the same time.

Egg (née Victoria) Jurgen re-christened herself after the heroine in her favorite sci-fi movie in hopes that some of the heroine's bravery and good fortune would rub off on her. Instead, she's doomed to pretend to like her fate of being Invisible Girl, who speaks to no one and has the favor returned. That is, until a new boy, Max Carter, arrives at school. He challenges her, academically and socially, and she isn't sure at first if she wants to accept his challenge, if it means shedding her tough persona and letting someone else into her life and her head. This book exemplifies how one person can change someone else's life, and I really enjoyed it.

Victoria, also known as Egg, lives in her own little world. She loves movies and is totally obsessed with her fav. character Egg. So it's a total shock when she meets Max, an annoying boy who just moved to town. what's more shocking is that she falls in love with him. In this book, Victoria discovers that you gotta be true to yourself, no matter what other people think of you and how they judge you.

This book was a little bit slow in the beginning, but it gets better. Just keep reading it. And it's short and sweet, perfect for the weekend or vacation. It is unlike any other book I've ever read. The main character is Victoria, but she wants people to call her Egg, like her favorite character from the Terminal Earth movie. She has no close friends and distances herself from everybody. She is different and she knows it. She's totally boy proof. Who needs boys when you are going to be valevictorian at 16 years old and a gifted student. She's a great photographer and loves creating her own monsters, like her master makeup artist father. But she's different from her movie star actress mother. But then there's a new boy in school, Max, and Egg starts to notice him. They are more a like. Egg changes because of him and starts to see her life in light of reality, rather than as a superhero character from a movie. And she learns that friends and family relationships are most important in life. This book was great and very heartwarming. It also teaches that it's okay to be different, just not to the extreme.

I really found this book to be true to how teen life is today. I don't think there is any girl my age out there reading this book who can't find some part of herself in it.

The book centers around Victoria, whom upon seeing a movie called Terminal Earth, 42 times, has redesigned herself and her name after the heroin in the film. Now calling herself Egg she becomes even more unique from her schoolmates.

It is just impossible not to like Egg, because she is funny and friendly. We get to see not only how she views herdelf, but also how others view her.

When Max moves to her school, he immediately finds Egg intriquing and wants to become her friend, and Egg is attracted to Max because the have lots of things in common. However, not knowing how to act because she has always been "boy proof" she pushes him away. Along the way, through some funny mishaps she finds that life isn't always how you paint it.

This book is a must read!

What I got out of this novel is the concept of passion.

Egg/Victoria is very passionate about Terminal Earth, and the character of Egg. At the same time, she is also passionate about being "boy proof". She does not want a guy lusting after her, and she goes out of her way to alienate people so that this does not happen.

However, Egg meets the actress who plays Egg, and finds herself disillusioned. And Egg meets Max, a boy that might be worth risking her "boy proof" ideas for.

I loved this novel, mainly because it teaches a very important lesson. We all have passion in our lives, whether it be for a movie, actor, book, or some other tangible object. And yet sometimes, our vision is skewed, and once the blinders are removed, we learn that in order to grow, sometimes we have to let go of a certain passion. And along the way, discover new passions, and new journeys throughout life.

Victoria, aka Egg, is wrapped up in her own little world. She worships a character named Egg from a sci fi movie, hence her nickname. Egg is very antisocial and keeps to herself. Then, a new student appears. Max tries to change Egg from her old ways, yet he only succeeds in pushing Egg away from her own true feelings. She starts to fall in love with Max, but has no way to express her feelings and the awkwardness causes her to stay away. But Egg opens her eyes at a function where she's able to meet her idol, Saaba Greer, the actress who portrays Egg. Egg really learns about being true to herself and accepting her differences from other people.

When I first started reading this book, I wasn't sure of whether I would like it and I stopped reading it. But I'm glad I finished reading it. The author did a good job of showing insecurities that teens face. I would recommend this book to my friends.

Boy Proof is an amazing book. It is about Victoria better known as Egg. Egg is a HUGE sci-fi movie fan. She is known as Egg after her favorite character in the movie Terminal Earth. She acts just like Egg, but when a new boy named Max moves to town, he teachers her that there is more to life then just the movies!
