Darren has been challenged to prove himself by accepting the Vampire Trials. The only problem being that only the best of vampires can get through the trials. And Darren's not exactly the best- in fact he's not even a vampire yet. But Darren with do all that he can to succeed. If he doesn't succeed but hasn't been killed by the trial then he will be killed by being dropped onto stakes. Darren has a lot to lose....

This is an excellent addition to the series. It's fast-paced- there's never a dull moment. Darren is a character who you will find rooting for. When you read this book keep the next book at hand. You'll need it.
