When Jace and his dad stop off in a strange town and buy a few things from a garage sale, they have no idea what they've brought home. Soon strange and dangerous things start happening, and Jace has to quickly figure out which item is cursed and how to get rid of it before it's too late.

This moves along quickly and has action in almost every chapter. The illustrations are fabulous and the ending leaves the series open to more curse-filled adventures. Younger readers will enjoy this. It's a nice stepping stone into the darker books like the Goosebump series.
