Into the Cold Fire is the book in the series that you will either love or hate. Serena, who can read minds, is attracted to Stanton, her enemy. When her friend tells her she might threaten the safety of the group's bond, she has to choose which is more important-her own happiness or her own destiny.

While many readers may not value this book as well as the other books in the series, the title will warm you up and especially on a cold winter's night.

This book was extremely good, as was the series. Being temted is soemthing we have to face everyday, though not in the way these four friends are. To be tepted to step into the cold fire is a big one. Stepping into this cold fire makes you immortal and with your immortal "boyfriend", turned nice (it changes) at the other end, whats stopping you? Great power, a boy and immortality. Cold fire anyone?

The purpose of this review for me is to warn my fellow bookreaders that if you read this horrific example of literature you will enter a world equlivalent to what I know as HELL.
Personally, I don't care at all if she ends up with Stanton or not.Who REALLY cares? However, if you are bored with books that retain some reality, this has great comedy value.

This is the second book in the Daughter of the Moon series. It focuses on Serena, who has the ability to read minds. She and the other three Daughters of Moon use their gifts to fight the evil Atrox and its followers.

However, Jimena, Serena's best friend who has premonitions, gets a vision into the future that Serena will betray the Daughters of the Moon and join the dark forces.

Exciting read!

This book... MAN!! I can't believe Lynne Ewing did it again! It's truly a page turner and made my whole outlook on Serena and Stanton my favorite. But the real thing that was on my mind the whole time was will she choose to betray her fellow goddess for her powerful feelings for a Follower! What are you waiting for read it! Now!!!!

Serena, the goddess who can read minds, is falling in love with the one person in the world she shouldn't be. Stanton is a Follower, a child of the Atrox. He is evil, she is good, can the relationship make it through the perils and end up changing Stanton for the good? Or will it be Serena who takes the plunge into the darkside? Cant tell you, you have to read this wonderful book. I loved the way the book kept me in suspense, I liked the way that it had that Romeo and Juliet meets Buffy the Vampire Slayer (except without the vampires...or the slayer...). I recommend this book to everyone.

We all know the scenario of a boy or boys getting in the way of a great friendship. In theory , thats the problem that Serena faces; but as a daughter of the moon its far worse. Will loving a follower cause her to betray her friends and also destroy her? She is the chosen one, the goddess that the Atrox hungers to take. How will she figure this situation, will she be successful, and what will the others think of her?

Those are the questions that continued to plague my mind as I devoured this book in one whole day. It was great and fascinating and definetely lives up to the page turning exepctation of the series. I love this series and this book, even though from its predessor I didn't have a connection with Serena; but the book changed that. This book is another prime example to devour this engaging and fascinating teen book series. I enjoyed how this and the first book and the whole series shows teen reality to the max, the supernatural.
