Greg lives in a city with his mom, dad, and his big brother Roderick and Manny his little brother. Greg and his fried Rowley find a box and they make it into a time capsule. They both some stuff in it Rowley puts in some video game and some money. And they buried their time capsule. Greg goes to middle school, he always brings some snack with his lunch and if he doesnt bring any snack he cant focus on work.
But his dad had been stealing his snack at night, and his mom wouldnt buy him until the end of the week

Greg sneaks at night where Greg and his friend had buried the time capsule. He digs in to the ground and opens the time capsule and takes all the money out and he buys his own snacks. He doesnt tell Rowley about this because it was his money

This was the funniest book I ever read. It is full of funny picture, funny riddles that I guarantee you that ones you read this book you want to read more of the series really like the way author wrote in diary.
The author wanted to write a book like this when he was little; unfriendly his drawing wasnt really good so when he grew up some other people helped him publish this book. (I rate this book nine out of ten).
