Echo was one of the worst books I've ever read. It was uncomfortable, boring and very confusing. All the different parts somehow tied together, but you just don't want to hear it. The story revolves around a girl whose mother is a goddess. She's an outcast and falls in love. Her father is deadly ill. She goes through changes in men, health, and lifestyles. The topics I remember are NOT for children. The girl has experiences with drugs and people using them, fighting for a bad guy's heart, and cheating on the one she loves. The language is horrid. I've read books with harsh cursing in them, but this one is terrible. Echo is the modern mythology of Echo. It is a reminder, we all have good qualities. We all can't be nice amd innocent. It is a reminder of all the bad things in the world. I recommend it for people 14 years old and up, if they really want to read it. I give Echo 2 stars for content (listed above) and some interest.
