Who ever said books were easy to predict, forgot about Francine Pascal. Of all her FEARLESS books I've read, KISS is my favorite. Pascal is so creative . . . she mixes the real with the fantasy and she created FEARLESS: KISS! Read and enjoy.

XOXO -Aimee

Gaia's in love--with herself. The book is not good and it is pretty boring. The covers are glossy and that's the only good thing about it. Nothing new. Nothing memorable.

Reader reviewed by Sam-Gaia shipper

Although readers of this series who aren't Sam and Gaia fans might find this fifth installment not to their liking, for me, this book was what I had been waiting for ever since the series began. The Sam and Gaia conundrum resolves itself in the respect that they both have openly admitted their feelings to the world. Of course the other books in this series change this, but since this is a review for Kiss, a review for Kiss it shall be. The book relies on some heavily noted metaphors and themes, something that Pascal rarely uses in any of her books for this series. And all of this ensues with the back and forth rally of Sam's thoughts and Gaia's thoughts.

Even if you aren't a Sam and Gaia fan, you have to appreciate their tender and awesome encounter with each other and their struggle to find out what love really is. I won't give a play by play commentary on what happens, but there is a mind-blowing kiss between Sam and Gaia that made me smile, and some intimate thoughts that Sam and Gaia have for each other.

Although this is only the fifth book in the series, I'm starting to notice a pattern; some of the books are about action, and some are about, well, feelings. . . specifically Gaia and Sam's profound love for one another. Puke.

I'm sorry, that's not a very literate response, but I just can't handle chapter after chapter about how much they love each other after just a few meetings. They don't know a thing about each other. Heather might be "unfriendly" but at least she and Sam have had an entire conversation. Unfortunately, Kiss has more than its fair share of Gaia and Sam passages, and they quickly grow tiresome.

With that said, I continue to read these books because I really like the books that focus on action. I also enjoy the secondary characters like Ed and Mary. Frankly I'll keep reading just to see Ella get what's coming to her someday. I also really like Gaia (when she's not droning on about Sam), so I'll be back for the next edition.

But I might start skipping the mushy stuff.
