Reader reviewed by Sam-Gaia shipper
Although readers of this series who aren't Sam and Gaia fans might find this fifth installment not to their liking, for me, this book was what I had been waiting for ever since the series began. The Sam and Gaia conundrum resolves itself in the respect that they both have openly admitted their feelings to the world. Of course the other books in this series change this, but since this is a review for Kiss, a review for Kiss it shall be. The book relies on some heavily noted metaphors and themes, something that Pascal rarely uses in any of her books for this series. And all of this ensues with the back and forth rally of Sam's thoughts and Gaia's thoughts.
Even if you aren't a Sam and Gaia fan, you have to appreciate their tender and awesome encounter with each other and their struggle to find out what love really is. I won't give a play by play commentary on what happens, but there is a mind-blowing kiss between Sam and Gaia that made me smile, and some intimate thoughts that Sam and Gaia have for each other.
