This is the 2nd book in the 3-book series about Jess. In this novel, Jess' mother, who still doesn't know Jess's dating Fred, takes her on a vacation to visit her father. However, Jess's boyfriend has gotten tickets to a music festival and Jess tries to lie to get to go. Her motehr's not very understanding about dating since her divorce from Jess's dad. Instead of going to the music festival, Jess winds up going on a road trip to visit historical stuff she could care less about.
This is a fun book, but I would have liked to see more vivid descriptions of the places Jess visits. Also, at times Limb tends to make Jess over dramatic in an adult laughing at a kid way instead of the real way people can tend to exaggerate.
This is a great second novel and I am eagerly waiting to read the third book in the series. A must have for anyone who loves British YA novels!
