This is the best of the Gossip Girl series. It actually takes you back before the 1st book in the series and clears up allthe rumors we've read about and explains why certain characters like or dislike each other.
I now understand why Serena and Nate got together and how she backed off only because of problems Blair was goign through. The whole storyline with Nate made me really dislike him! I also now understand why Serena left and how Blair's eating disorder started.
The book also takes you back to how Blair got that little gold heart she sewed in Nate's sleeve. One thing I questioned was Nate giving her the ruby ring. I thought her father had given her that ring.
One ofthe best parts of the book is that the city is much more of a factor in this one. Instead of just name-dropping places the group goes, they describe the buildings, park and even Tiffany's! The book takes it's time and delves into the settingsand the characters much more than any of the others. We even learn info on Kati and Isabel...one who is quite intelligent.
By far the best book in the series. If you liked the first two books and then felt you were reading the smae story over, then pick this one up. You won't be disappointed. You know you'll love it.
