The fifth book was good, as are most harry potter books. In this one Harry has to deal with the OWLs and such. I don't want to give any of the book away, but it is an awesome book! with tons of trials for harry to go thru!

This book is definately darker then the first 4. It made you think about "What's going to happen next?" more. The ending was a big shock. Those who follow the Harry Potter scene as religously as I do, know that someone was going to kick the bucket. But the person who did and the way it happened just made me cry all the while screaming, "What the h**l!" I'm not giving anything away, so to find out you just have to read it.
I like his school days much more also. They became exciting and more invovled (with some students more than others) Did someone say D.A or was it Cho? You have to read to find what that is too.

the series is rather good, but the drastic change in Harry's attitude was too teenage. It was as if the author was trying to hard to make him normal the use of swear words, also didn't help. I just couldn't get into it. i thought it lacked plot as well and the writing wasn't as good as the other ones in the series.

I thought this book was wonderfully excellent. I loved how she made Harry Potter seem even more real by giving him a small mean streak. We all have our bad days. I also loved how J.K.Rowling put in a little romance. We all have our good days if you get what I'm saying.
I read this book in two days and since then read it four more times. This book doesn't get old it just surprises you over and over again.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is the fifth book in the Harry Potter series. The Dark Lord has returned and not a single person in the wizarding world, but a small group of witches and wizards, believe he has returned. The Order of the Phoenix is a group that has been put together to fight the Dark Lord. Harry must deal with everyone at Hogwarts starting horrible rumours about him and whispering whenever he walks by and also a new teacher who gives Snape a run for his money...

Outstanding! This book was very good, as well as the rest of the series, by J.K. Rowling. It keeps you entertained, and always wanting more! This is Harry Potter's 5th year at Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry. Once again, excellent book!

You know that feeling you get thats like the whole world has just let you down, dropped you off the ledge of the Grand Canyon and then drowned you in the Marina Trench? That was the exact feeling I felt the moment I finished off Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix in record-breaking time. I wished I had never opened it.
It wasnt just the death-that-must-not-be-named that irked me. It was Harry Potter, the hero, the role model, whose attitude made me want to jump right out of my skin. At some points in the book I wanted Uncle Vernon to magically apparate into Hogwarts and give little Harry swift kick in the rear, just to remind him that arrogance is not something people find especially attractive in a young male.
Sure, its acceptable for people to get upset sometimes, and granted, that Potter boy does have reason enough to fume about being parentless and such&but trashing Dumbledores office? Telling him its his entire fault? Is that warranted?
Either way, it paves the way nicely for book six (which will not disappoint fans, trust me there) but really, Harrys personality is under siege. That bugged me. But thanks Fred n George for your amazing escape.

This one didn't surprise me as much as I hoped that it would. I've probably been reading too much fanfiction, but I can't help but think that Rowling gave a few too many clues out about OotP for me to be completely surprised. However, she redeemed herself with the character of Umbridge, who is so horribly awful that she is probably one of the best (and I mean that in the horrible, most annoying ways) characters in the series. She's one of the few characters I've ever truly, truly hated in all of my reading.
This book also has one of the best chapters ever written, called "Career Advice," and if you read it, you'll see why. I clapped, I really did.

In Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Harry is brought to Sirus's house to live for the summer along with the Weasley family and Hermoine. The Order of the Phoenix, a secret group run by Dumbledore with the intention of defeating Voldemort, has offically reunited to battle the evil forces. Harry has told his story to the ministry but no one there will believe him and is writing slander about Harry and Dumbledore daily in the Prophet. When he goes back to school he finds the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher to be a toad like lady name Doloruse Umbridge. Mrs. Umbridge turns out the be a witch working for Fudge who wants to run the entire school. She soon starts enforcing educational decrees from the ministry changing the authority of the school to lean in her favor. Eventually she is running the school making life unbearably hard for Harry and his friends. In her class she refuses to actually teach magic, the kids simply sit and read about the spells. Because of this Hermoine decides to create a Defense against the Dark Arts club called the DA. Everyone who comes to the DA is taught spells by Harry which they use to battle the evil Death Eaters later in the book when the kids find themselves head to head with Voldemort once again.
This book is awesome!! So much about Harry, his past, and the story line is revealed. This book leaves you on the edge of your seat from the first page and it leaves you anxious for book 6 in the end.
