LET'S BE KIND is a first book of manners. The book tells young children ways to be kind, such as saying please and thank you, sharing toys, helping around the house, and spending time together. Each page features a sentence about how to be kind, such as "Let's help around the house," and shows it in action along with key phrases such as "Thank you, baby!" and "Good job!" (from the helping page). These make a cute and quick story, modeling positive behaviors.
What I loved: The simplicity of the book is great for infants and young toddlers. Each action is shown in example, and I love the inclusion of please and thank yous. The text is easy to read, and the amount of text on each page is perfect for baby's short attention. I also really love the illustrations, which have loads of colors and plenty of details to keep children's attention. The book also features a multiracial family, which is a pleasant inclusion!
This is also part of the indestructibles line, which adds some extra features, such as being a book that is safe to chew, easy to clean, impossible to rip, and lightweight, so easy to bring on the go. These are a great way to begin a child's journey through reading with a way babies can easily interact.
Final verdict: Simple but cute, LET'S BE KIND sets a sweet example of manners with plenty of bright colors and fun illustrations. This series is perfect for infants and young toddlers with short, attention-grabbing books they can also safely play with and chew on.
