Jade Green is about Judith Sparrow, who goes to live with her uncle in his mansion after being orphaned. He has a rule that she can bring nothing that is green into the house. Not seeing why this is a rule, Judith takes only one green item: a green frame that contains the picture of her mother. Hiding it in the closet in her new room, Judith takes little notice to the scratching sounds coming from her closet door.

While trying to find out just who Jade Green was, Judith becomes sucked into a murderous plot that revolves around the fate of the young girl who died many years ago. Left teetering on the edge of sanity, she will come closer to Jade's secret, as well as her ghost.

This was an exceedingly creepy book. I would not recommend reading it before bed, unless it's a weekend, and you have no reason for getting up on time, because you will definitely be unable to sleep.

Full of gruesome details (the hand was a nice touch...), this is a book containing many questions: Who really is Jade Green? Why and how did she die? And now that her ghost is back, is she good or evil? Jade Green is sure to haunt your house, too.

Recently orphaned Judith is sent to live with her kind uncle Geoffrey.  Uncle Geoffrey's only condition is that nothing green is allowed in his home.  Judith can't bear to part with a green picture frame holding a photo of her parents, so she sneaks it into the house buried deep in her trunk.  Soon, however, she starts hearing strange noises coming from the closet...

This was a compelling ghost story, hard to put down.  Judith's lecherous cousin Charles was much more disturbing than the ghostly Jade Green; he is one of the most creepy characters I've ever read.  Jade Green reminded me of The Secret Garden, Jane Eyre, and What Lies Beneath.  Don't read it alone!

Judith Sparrow goes to live with her Uncle, after her parents die and she is left orphaned. She, her uncle, and everyone else in the house, begin to bond with Jane. Her Uncle has only one rule: no green, is ever allowed in the house. , with much regret, breaks this rule.

It is a green silk picture fame, which holds her favorite picture of her mother.

But even this little amount of green awakens the ghost of Jade Green, a girl who used to live there, who used to sleep in Judith's room.

This book kept me looking over my shoulder for ghosts every 10 minutes, awesome book with strongly developed characters.

But even this little amount of green, awakens the ghos
