Jane Eyre is a good read... if you skip over about 100 pages or so. The book is so full of details and storylines that are not essential to the story, that these unneeded elements actually deterred me from enjoying the novel overall.

In my opinion, one could completely skip over Jane's flight from the Rochester home, and her reunion with St. John, and still get the gist of the story and enjoy it. However, I read it as Bronte wrote it, and found these extra pages boring and unnecessary to the main story of Jane and Edward Rochester.

The other problem I have is Rochester's secret in the attic. That element completely ruined Rochester as a romantic figure for me. Once I found out what was in the attic, I found myself wishing they all would be struck with consumption and the novel would suddenly end.

Unfortunately, I'm not providing anyone with any serious spoilers, because they do not develop consumption (as so many early British characters do!) and die.

I do not feel like a more well-rounded person for having read this novel. Instead, I feel angry that I wasted so much time reading this one, when I could have been reading authors I actually do enjoy, such as Austen and Burney.

It's classic novel about simply girl who fall in love with her shief.She can bear everything for him.Though her fake wasn't good .In the 'happy' end she and her so-loved husband live happy to the end of their lives.Nice and easy reading.
