So, I really happened to like this book. Even though it was a little random and out of there, it was good. Not to critize or anything but seriously who would go all the way to India to find a t-shirt. However, I guess it did mean a lot to Carrie and I guess if it was that important then go for it. Why not? Carrie's father left her and her mother. But when he was still with them he traveled a lot on business. One time he traveled and he bought her a red t-shirt with a green star on it. Carrie considered this shirt her "lucky shirt".

It's Cinderella set in modern-day India. Carrie wears her lucky t just about wherever she goes. But her mom mistakenly donates the shirt to a charity in India and Carrie goes halfway around the world to get it back. The romance is cheesy and the story itself is a lesson learned, but it takes some 300 pages to do it. Very predictable and boring at times. You can easily figure out the ending. But if you like modern-day fairy tales, complete with catfights, parental bonding and repaired friendships, than you might want to try it.
