"Some girls have all the luck. So far, Carrie Fitzgerald's sixteen years have been pretty sweet. Straight A's, an adorable boyfriend, a starting position on the varsity basketball team...
But Carrie's luck is about to, well, change.
Suddenly, her boyfriend dumps her (to "hang out with his friends"), she and her best friend have a massive blowout, and she gets a D on a biology test. Carrie knows what's wrong - her mom accidentally donated her lucky T-shirt was the source of all her good fortune.
So Carrie does what any girl would do: she's going to India. Cross your fingers and hope that Carrie finds adventure, love, and maybe just a little good luck along the way..."
I thought this book was very immature compared to Brian's other books. I am a big fan of Megan Meade's Guide to the McGowan Boys and the Private series, but Lucky T was just a let down. I was bored while reading it and not very impressed at all. My love for Kate Brian hasn't diminished though... everyone makes mistakes. :)

this is one of the most inspiring books i have ever read. and that's not just because i'm in love with dee.
this book holds tons of important things to be learned. and many MANY others.
this book made me want to get up and help these people who are living in india in those conditions. it made me want to donate my lucky t for this cause [[or any cause for that matter]].
it has amazing plot and the characters are so well developed i felt like i've known every one of them since we were children.
and i fell in love with those children at the orphanage. they are amazing.
this book is about what's special in life. and how you shouldn't take for granted the things that you have. it tells how you should be grateful for what you have when you have it.
I LOVE THIS BOOK.
it's one of kate brian's best works.

Carrie in the begining of the book was really self-centered and supersticious. I really thought that I woudn't get to far into the book considerings I had just read a really good book (When She Was Good). Turns out that I ended up reading and reading and reading some more. The book really made me feel like I was there, that I was there with her. To meet Dee and to get scolded for wanting a cheeseburger and every thing. I ended up reading it for hours on end when I twisted my ankle. I enjoyed the book alot and I highly recamend it to everyone!

The story is fast, and I like that. kate Brian gets straight into business just after some pages describing Carrie's life before indulging straight into her journey in India. Honestly, I thought the storyline is predictable, with some predictable lessons in the end. But surprisingly, I'd never expected Carrie has a bigger issue than her superstitiousness.A cool read.

When Carrie's lucky T accidentally gets sent to Help India, she has no choice but to go to India to get it back. But while she's in India (pretending to be helping build houses for the homeless), she meets Dee and all the orphans at the orphange he volunteers at, and finds more than just her lucky T.
Lucky T is a good book that will show you how lucky us people in America really are. Carrie sees how selfish she really has been, and along the way meets the cutest guy with a British accent. I think all girls would enjoy this book.

It's Cinderella set in modern-day India. Carrie wears her lucky t just about wherever she goes. But her mom mistakenly donates the shirt to a charity in India and Carrie goes halfway around the world to get it back. The romance is cheesy and the story itself is a lesson learned, but it takes some 300 pages to do it. Very predictable and boring at times. You can easily figure out the ending. But if you like modern-day fairy tales, complete with catfights, parental bonding and repaired friendships, than you might want to try it.
