I absolutely loved this book. The character Matilda is so likable and for as much of a jerk as her dad is, he was hysterical. I must have read the passage about him rubbing the tonic of violets into his scalp to try to promote hair growth 50 times! My sister and I started joking about it when we put in hair products saying, "Aw, that's it, rub it into the roots!"

The headmistress is so awful, yet I think we all know someone like that! I was grateful for the teacher to take Matilda under her wing so she'd have someone other than her selfish parents to look after her.

Great book. It's also a lot of fun to read out loud especially to little kids.

Matilda is about a girl and she finds out that she has powers. Her family doesn't care about her. She's always had to fend for herself. Then she asks if she can go to school and her dad thinks that she is crazy for wanting to go. But when she gets to school she meets Miss. Trunchbull the evil princible. Miss Trunchbull makes kids cry. I wonder how Mitilda will react when she and her teacher go to Miss. Trunchbull's house...

I really liked this book. I've read it 7 times. Roald Dahl is a great author, and I loved all of the books he has wrote. I would recomend this book to anyone! This book makes you want to keep reading. I couldn't put it down! I can honastly say that I liked everything about this book. So read the book Matilda you will love it!

This book is absolutley dispicable,horrible,and unreal-and I absolutley LOVED it!

Matilda Wormwood is a little girl who is mistreated by her parents and completely ignored.It would be bad enough if she weren't a genius-and didn't have magic powers,but,in this case,she does,and if her parents even paid her attention for a second,they would see that.Matilda gets into more trouble when she must defeat an evil headmistress,who can throw you out the window and know if you ate her chocolate cake.I couldn't put this book down!

This story is powerful and will leave you on the edge of your seat.I totally loved it,and I hope (and bet)you will too!

I loved this book soooo much i've read it tons and tons of times and also to my little cousins who absolutely love it. The movie it's based on is also really awesome but not as great as this book. I love all of Roald Dahl's books they are so great! I recommend this book to every book reader out there it's great especially for children of course but you're never too old to enjoy this.

The story is really great and some parts are a tad sad, but the ending is just wonderful and really happy! Ms. Honey is my favorite fictional teacher and oh how i love Matilda!! I absolutely love the fact that Matilda has these powers that help make her so special, wish i had them they'd be great to have.

This is one of Roald Dahl's best literary masterpiece. Roald Dahl is one of America's best children's author and this book proves just that.

Matilda is a child genius with intelligence higher than people above her age. Her parents don't acknowledge her extraordinary gift and make her life miserable. With her smarts and creativity, Matilda sets on a plan to get revenge on her family members and look for the happiness she truly deserves.

matilda is a little girl with a careless family. she loves books and likes to be alone. Whenshe goes to school she finds that her teacher is also affected with the Trunchbull. the Trunchbull hates children and is very cruel. Matilda has powers to control things with her mind. she hatches a plan to take care of the Trunchbull forever. Matilda's father sells crappy cars and is a fraud. When the police are after Matilda's family and have to run away, love saves the day.

Matilda, a young genuis has some horrible parents. Also at school she is way ahead of her class but her evil headmistress will not let her advance to a higher level. That is when Matilda finds that she can move things without touching them. She can move things with her mind. Using her new found power, Matilda uncovers many secrets and works to fix problems.

I thought this book was great. It had a really great plot. This book is fantastic, just like the rest of Rhoald Dahl's books.

Matilda is a genius, even though she is just a little girl. Her idiot parents disaprove her reading and constantly tell her that she is ignorant and stupid. Matilda had enough. She decided that every time her father or mother is mean to her, she will get back at them. Matilda had fun driving her parents crazy. Now that she started school, she has someone else to deal with. It is her big, kid-hating headmistress, Miss. Trunchball. While dealing with Miss. Trunchball, she even found out she got superpowers.

This book is wonderful and funny!!!

Read it to find out how she dealt with her parents and the evil Miss. Trunchball.

I really liked this book. It was really good because it made me laugh. I read it like 5 times already. Ronald Dahl is a very good author and everyone should read one of his books in their lifetime.
