A clever new kid detective series, brimming with crime scene clues, mildly unhelpful adults, fun illustrations, and the astute observations of one Montgomery Bonbon. Bonbon is definitely not ten-year-old Bonnie wearing a mustache, nope definitely not. This first mystery tackles the classic case of a locked room murder, at a museum, and though the clues are tough, the museum is lucky that Bonbon and Grandpa Banks are on the case!

From chapter one, this mystery is so lively and fun. Bonbon's persona is just the sort of detective every kid wants to be, with an air of foreign mystique, a supportive sidekick, and Sherlockian deductions that leave the adults befuddled but impressed as the case unfolds. References to classic mystery elements are a great introduction to the genre and are a treat for any adults reading along, while the younger audience will enjoy Bonbon matching wits with older and taller folks. It's the sort of over-the-top that seems like it probably, wouldn't happen in real life, but who's to say for certain that it won't?

The illustrations also bring the story to life, with character portraits, scenes, and pinups of Bonbon's scribbled notes.

Pick this up for a mystery that brings the laughter and suspense.
