A short summary: It is about Bella Swan who's boyfriend is Edward Cullen. So she's at this party and slices her finger. Then, Jasper, Edward's brother, tries to attack her, reacting to the smell of her human blood, merely out of instinct. So, to protect Bella, the Cullens' move away, far away. Then, from there, Bella's life is worthless. To try and mend, she reunites with an old friend, Jacob Black. What happens beyond this point is something the reader will never suspect!
I really loved this book! When Bella and Alice go to the Volturi and found out that Edward thinks Bella is dead, the suspense REALLY builds and something very unexpected happens! I love the part in the book where Bella is with Jacob. The thoughts she gets about Edward are soo sweet! This book with leave you hungry for the next one, Eclipse!

New Moon is a well written novel by Stephenie Meyer. At the beggining of New Moon the Cullens celebrate Bella's 18th (Alice over does it). At one tiny little mistake the night goes haywire.Edward is 100% convinced that the vampire world is no place for Bella, packs up with his family and leaves.
Bella:October,November,December,January
When Charlie gets mad bella isn't resurfacing he forces her to do something. Bella finds she cant do much. When a pair of bikes get her attention she meets her favorite machenic. Jacob Black. So the La push crew enters into her world. But bella does eveerything she can to get her halucanations back to her. After jumping off a cliff for "cliff diving" she nearly drowns and Jacob Black saves her.
When Alice comes back to makle sure she wasnt dead Jake makes a BIG mistake. Edaward goes to the Volturi to ask for death.Bella and Alice go to Italy to make sure he does nothing that a "stupid, shiny, Volvo owner" would. The Volturi finds that a "mortal" was tangled up in this mess.Their punishment the un-death of Bella Swan. What happens next? Does Bella become a vampire?Do edward and bella get back together?will alice ever shut up? read more in eclpise.

What an extraordinary, utterly dry and depressingly dark novel. Those would be the three words I would use to summarize this particular piece of fiction: extraordinary, dry, depressing. This book deals with concepts that are highly entertaining, not the least bit realistic and somewhat enlightening.
Edward has left Bella, cold and dry.
The insecurities either of these two characters face must be reasoned, for their love. Obviously I could probably never truly understand these characters bond, at the ripe age of twelve, until I myself have experienced something as intense and serious.
However, reading from the perspective of just the average reader, the second novel in the designated Twilight series, New Moon was a slight disappointment in terms of Meyers decision to actually carry on the series.
Twilight is a one-time venture; the ending was satisfying enough and it would be unnecessary to develop a real story.
My personal opinion deals with Twilight being disgusting competition to the famous and critically acclaimed series, Harry Potter. A story that took off so well among the female readers because it dealt with oh-so-wonderful Edward Cullen. I mean, have you seen some completely dense girls actually swoon over this fictional weirdo?
Now dont get me wrong; I have reasons for really hating Edward Cullen and New Moon. I admittedly enjoyed Twilight, much more in comparison to New Moon. I think thats because Twilight was not as intense in terms of the romance and action between the Cullens and Bella.
This book took the phrase, I cant live without you to a whole new level. Completely preposterous.
I honestly cannot explain in literal words my intense disliking for this novel, I really cant. It was just the overall atmosphere of the book, the aura that really depresses and deters me. Im not the kind of person who starts a book and then doesnt finish it so naturally, I had to endure 563 pages of dull and miserable dark literature.
Hold on; did I just say dark? Perhaps pathetically dark sounds more accurate.
Technically, Im known to analyze both sides of the argument and considering that I have already analyzed the, ahem, purely negative side it would only be fair to offer some positive criticism.
New Moon developed itself quite nicely; I think this book really established Bellas role and personality quite well. She basically has no willpower and no self-esteem to keep her alive without her beloved. Not thats negative of course&
I think that Meyers stylishly introduced a much more exciting concept that could be continued into later novels, dealing with Bella becoming a vampire so its not like Meyers couldnt justify her need to continue writing an entire series. You can indeed carry on an entertaining tale with such an idea.
Recommend? Yes, if you want an angst-drama-romance that will keep you turning the pages with talented cliffhangers. No, if you are interested in mild and light tales that dont pin you down into a series of 2000 pages.
Im hooked. Unfortunately, to my utter dismay.

This is my favorite book in the whole Saga. It's so packed with emotion and so beautifully written. You get to delve deeper into the world of vampires and learn more about Jacob Black in this installment. Throughout the book I was bawling my eyes out, having to stop every now and then to wipe the tears so I could read. If you liked Twilight, you will love this and how the story continues.

In this sequel to Twilight, Bella deals with life after Edward leaves. Luckily, her new friend Jacob is around to help her through the heartache. After a horrible misunderstanding, a frantic trip to Italy, and an encounter with the most powerful vampires in the world, can Bella and Edward's love survive?
Of the four books in the Twilight series, this is my least favorite, but it is still a great book! It was maybe just a tad heavy on the teenage angst. What I loved was the parallel to Romeo and Juliet and the examination of the question "What if Juliet had chosen Paris?

I must say that with out the end of this book the whole thing would be shot. The begging with Bella actually annoyed me, then when Edward left I cried, after that the whole book dragged and only got exciting again with Bella's hallucinations of Edward, and then when she jumped.
The ending of the book from the time Alice came back though made the whole book wonderful and worth the wait. I cried again when Edward and Bella were re-united. Once the book was over and I had a chance to re-evaluate it, I have to say that Jacob did an amazing job keeping Bella alive and I actually do like Jacob, just not with Bella.
All in all a wonderful book in an amazing series!

This book outshined the first one by a long shot. Enter a boy who went from childhood friend not seen or remembered much to best friend who brings Bella out of the Darkness.
Poor Edward, leaving her made me want to hurt him, but he just hurt himself, Bella, and Jacob in the end for doing that. By leaving he left Bella to Jacob and while Jacob was saving her and bringing her back he fell in love with her and she fell in love with him.
That just made everything so complicated and it made the hurt go deeper. All in all it was awesome, the Vampire Royals shocked me...I mean how could their be royals? But hey every one has royals, right?

Stephenie Meyer is a genius.
Bella's life is going perfectly. Well, it WAS until Edward decides to leave her for her own good. Desperately, she sets up defensive measures and does a good job of ending the pain-- and her spirit. Zombie-like and silent, Bella is just going through the motions... Until she takes a trip to Jacob's house with a pair of motorcycles and a mind for danger.
Jacob brightens up her life and pulls the pieces back together. That is, until a secret not even Jake knew pops up out of nowhere. Everything works out, for the time being. But when Bella goes too far to try to bring a small piece of Edward back, things go downhill fast.
I loved this book, but you should be warned: you will not be able to put it down.

New Moon definitely was not my favorite book out of the Twilight Saga.
But, the series wouldn't have been amazing without it.
Even thought Edward leaves, it sets up the story line for the rest of the books.
It gives you the amazing love triangle between Bella, Edward and Jacob.
So, in the end, New Moon is still an awesome book. :]
