New moon is a sequel to the novel twilight by stephenie meyer. so the book began by the cullens and bella swan celebrating her 18th birthday. she never wanted to celebrate knowing that she is getting older than edward as the day passes by. while opening her gifts, she got a papercut which lead edward to jump on her to pretect her from jasper(he's the newest member of the cullen so he is still coping to be a "vegetarian"). Bella was lest terrified and injured due to edward's strength. This resulted in Edward leaving bella for her "safety". Of course, Bella didnt want him to leave but he did. She was very depressed for months. She remembers an old friend, Jacob Black, son of Billy Black, a friend of her father. Eventually, they became really good friends and Jacob fell in love with her. She tried doing extreme things because she learned that she could hear edward's voice when she does so. She soon discovers that he is a werewolf because he is a descendant of Ephraim Black,a quillieute tribe leader. She also learns the quillieute history and how they became werewolves. a death of a neightbour and a good friend of bella's dad occured and alice, edward's sister who can see the future, saw that she jumped off a cliff and thought she died. when edward called to confirm, he had mistaken bella's death to harry clearwater's so he ran to italy to provoke the volturi's. provoking the voltuirs would cause death to a vampire if he/she breaks the rule or try to expose them. since in edward's mind she's dead, he doesnt want to live anymore because there would be no point of existing if his other half is gone. bella was terrified when she knew this when alice came back to tell her. so they went to italy to save edward from killing himself.
this book was okay for me because of the part where edward leaves bella and he was barely in the book. but overall it was good. i like the part when bella runs really fast in order to save edward from exposing their vampire family by going out in the sun. :) i recommend this book to everyone who loves mystery, thriller and romance.

This book to me was really thrilling i love the fact Edward leaves Bella and her good friend Jacob Black comes to her and comforts her in her time of need. Stephenie Meyer is the author of my favorite book series now!!! The next book in the series is Eclipse, and that book will lead you to the last book... Breaking Dawn! But sadly Breaking Dawn is the last book in the Twilight series :(... Bella starts to fall in love with Jake (Jacob Black) while Edward is gone, and Jake is already in love with her so she is torn between her two loves! Edward and Jake. This book series is so addicting i bought the whole series and I've read the whole series over 10 times!!!!!!! Once you start reading Twilight you will WANT to read the rest just to see if she lives or dies by her loves thirst. With her two loves being enemies ( Jake = Wolf and Edward = Vampire) She is caught between three worlds... hers, Jakes, and Edwards. Who will she chose? Jake the warm and loving, protective wolf or Edward the old school, romantic Vampire?? to find out you need to keep reading the series!!

The sequel to Twilight was far less riveting than it's predecessor. It's the start of Jacob's and Bella's affection to each other is what most Twilight lovers are appalled at. While to others, Eclipse will probably be in the second ranking of the series, I found that New Moon was pleasantly good. I love the emotional feel and angst of losing Edward and the reunion was so heart-breaking.

Twilight was definitely a hit... but New Moon was a punch in the gut. Absolutely amazing book!

This time in the series, when Edward realizes how much danger he's putting her in by being around her when one of his brothers accidentaly attacks her at her birthday party, he knows he has to leave.

Once he's gone, Bella goes into a "zombie-state." She is completely emotionless for months. Eventually she starts to get better, hanging out with childhood friend Jacob Black regularly.

She discovers a secret about Jacob and all the Quileute tribe members that dramatically changes her life...

I suggest this book for readers 11+. If you are a mature 10 year old, you would probably enjoy is as much as I did.

For Bella Swan, there is one thing more important than life itself: Edward Cullen. But being in love with a vampire is even more dangerous than Bella could ever have imagined. Edward has already rescued Bella from the clutches of one evil vampire, but now, as their daring relationship threatens all that is near and dear to them, they realize their troubles may be just beginning...

Legions of readers entranced by the New York Times bestseller Twilight are hungry for the continuing story of star-crossed lovers, Bella and Edward. In New Moon, Stephenie Meyer delivers another irresistible combination of romance and suspense with a supernatural twist. Passionate, riveting, and full of surprising twists and turns, this vampire love saga is well on its way to literary immortality.

"New Moon" by Stephenie Meyer is the second book in the bestselling Twilight Saga, a teen vampire-human romance.

In this followup to Twilight, this book details the life of Bella, a human teenage girl, when her vampire boyfriend, Edward, and his family are forced to leave. It is during this book that the character of Jacob Black, a teenager werewolf, is truly introduced and the a dictionsry definition "love-triangle" develops between Bella, Edward, and Jacob.

I found this book to be as addicting as the first. I loved the complexity of this unusual teen romance. I thought it was very relateable, as a teen girl, with the inclusion of Bella's emotions and actions; although, it takes on an otherworldly feel in the inclusion of the vampire boyfriend. I will most certainly read the other books in the Saga.

New Moon is the sequel to the bestseller "Twilight" by Stephenie Meyer. Of course this book may not have lived up to the expectations. It is not half as good as Twilight, but still an enjoyable read.

It follows Isabella "Bella" Swan. Her vampire boyfriend Edward and his family have to move away. For about 400 pages the book seems to drag and it only starts to pick up when Alice Cullen comes back.

In fairness, it is a very good book, but not quite as good as its predeccesor.

I look forward to Eclipse and Breaking Dawn.

In the beginning of this book, Edward makes the hard decision to leave Forks and Bella behind for her own safety. Bella sinks into utter despair and depression, you can almost feel the hole inside herself that she talks about and feels. Her saving grace is her old friend Jacob. He makes her feel not like Edward, but a little more whole. He makes no secret of his feelings for her and she makes it clear that she is not whole that way. But then Jacob becomes a werewolf, the enemy of the vampires, and Edwards's sister, Alice, comes back to visit Bella. Due to a misunderstanding, Edward thinks Bella is dead, and goes to Italy to try to get the Volturi, an ancient vampire allegiance, to kill him. Bella must deal with her strong connection with Jacob and her undeniable love for Edward. She still longs to become a vampire to be with Edward forever. She and Alice fly to Italy to try to stop Edward. Will they get to him in time, what will happen if they don't, what will happen if they do? This is a gripping book and the reunion is memorable in many ways and also leaves more loose ends, more questions, more problems. It is a good addition to Twilight and a good preface to Eclipse.

A short summary: It is about Bella Swan who's boyfriend is Edward Cullen. So she's at this party and slices her finger. Then, Jasper, Edward's brother, tries to attack her, reacting to the smell of her human blood, merely out of instinct. So, to protect Bella, the Cullens' move away, far away. Then, from there, Bella's life is worthless. To try and mend, she reunites with an old friend, Jacob Black. What happens beyond this point is something the reader will never suspect!

I really loved this book! When Bella and Alice go to the Volturi and found out that Edward thinks Bella is dead, the suspense REALLY builds and something very unexpected happens! I love the part in the book where Bella is with Jacob. The thoughts she gets about Edward are soo sweet! This book with leave you hungry for the next one, Eclipse!
