Phillip just wants to make the high school track team. He knows that if he makes it, there is a good chance that the school will win the state championship. There's just one thing blocking his way--Miss Narwin, who has given Phillip a D in English. Through many misunderstandings and lying, this story is a tale of how these things can ruin the lives of many people. AVI captures the thoughts of teenagers and the adults who interact with them to perfection.
